One of the things I love about wedding ceremonies is seeing how each couple personalizes their day. I love knowing what makes people tick, so I love little personal glimpses into their interests and passions. So we really enjoyed being a part of Jenny & Ken's day. We learned from their celebration that they are a couple who loves science and nature, playing soccer together, brewing their own beer, and living life to the fullest with friends and family, just to name a few. It was so evident to me throughout the day that what they really love the most is sharing these moments with one another. I love that when everyone looks back on their day, they will remember it as a celebration imbued with a sense of who Jenny & Ken truly are. Thanks guys for including us in such a meaningful and joyful celebration and for being so genuinely sweet.
Jenny & Ken chose to have their first look at a park where they had spent a lot of time with friends and family as children.
Then we moved on to a new location where they have both studied and spent free time together.
The ceremony and reception were full of personalized, handmade details that Jenny & Ken crafted. One guest gasped that the reception venue was an exact representation of Jenny's style. I loved the equation on their programs and the paper airplanes when they exited the ceremony, both a nod to their studies.
I'm a sucker for a ceremony with references to The Giving Tree. I loved that Jen & Ken, along with their friends and family, added soil to this tree as a symbol of becoming one.
