Kyle & Jen

At last! The long overdue post of Kyle and Jen's pictures! Some of you will remember the shoot we did with Kristi and Luke in November for their Christmas card. When we planned the shoot, Kristi told me her brother Kyle and his girlfriend Jen were going to tag along too, and I was more than a little excited. In fact, I'm sure it was one of the highlights of a pretty rough month. I had been waiting to meet Jen, who I'd heard so much about over the last year, and Kristi knows how anxious I was to get them both in front of the camera. Despite freezing cold temperatures and some wicked wind, we had so much fun! You simply can't help but love Kyle and Jen from the moment you meet them. I loved every minute of Jen's vivacious personality, and I teased Kristi that her brother was going to be my new screensaver.

Jen, thank you for letting us use your beautiful home for this shoot, and I hope you will all forgive us for the ridiculous length of time that it took us to post these. We should plan a night out soon!

Aren't they gorgeous?

I love this series of Kyle and Jen just relaxing and enjoying eachother.

Adorable siblings.

I believe Resevoir Dogs was being discussed during this shot.

Morning Frost

Liga and I have been meaning to put these pictures up for awhile.  They were taken last fall the morning we had the first big frost.  I finally got around to editing them and found some I really like.  These little "photo projects" are a lot of fun and can be very refreshing.  They were all taken at my mom and dad's house right after sunrise.  The light was just gorgeous and really made the frost sparkle.  Most of them were taken with my macro lens (love it!!!) or the 50mm 1.4 lens.  Hope you enjoy them as much as me.

Korbin

Ryan and I were both excited and nervous when my mom's co-worker Shanna called and asked us to photograph her nephew Corbin.  Being parents, we understood the challenges of photographing an 18 month old indoors in a small area , but as photographers we were thrilled for the opportunity to try something new.  I love these shots Ryan captured, while I jumped up and down singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" at the top of my lungs,  played peek-a-boo, and bribed Corbin with Cheerios.
Tiffany, Marshall, Teresa, and Shanna, thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your precious little boy.  He is absolutely adorable, brilliant, funny, and sweet.  We would love to shoot a family portrait for you sometime!  We hope  you enjoy these images as much as we have.

John & Ashley

I know we have quite a few "brides-to-be" checking our blog lately, so I thought I would add another wedding post. We are excited about the weddings we are shooting this summer and can't wait to share them with you.  We have been so encouraged by the kind words of our friends and family lately.
These images are from John and Ashley's wedding.  Ryan was in the wedding, and we were not the primary photographers.  I just offered to shoot casually and catch some additional action.  Therefore, there are no posed portraits here, but I love the emotion and beauty captured in these real moments and elegant details.
This was a very special wedding to us, as John and Ashley are two of our favorite people.  I adore John's kind spirit, loyalty, and sense of humor, and I am more than a little jealous of Ashley's brilliance, ambition, and natural beauty. You just can't help but have fun with John and Ashley, as can be seen in their receptions photos. John and Ash, we love you guys.  Thanks for letting us post a few of your pictures.
